Time marches on. I have really been honored and blessed by people's inquiries about my current status. Most will ask "are you happy?" and some will state "we sure miss you on the radio". Thank you. I miss it too.
After I left my morning show I went to work for the Georgia Farm Bureau. I helped with web design and some video graphics. My good friend Paul Beliveau runs a great department. I have always wanted to try doing voice work and web design. After 24 years of waking at 3:30 or 4AM it seemed like a good time to take a break from early rising and market myself.
To the left you'll see two links to my future. I do voice work for radio and tv stations and cable operations. The internet allows me to get a script from anywhere in the world and return the MP3 file within the day. It opens the whole world as your market. Also, I am designing web sites, mostly for churches. My diocese has a great need for creative and informative sites. The tough job is getting the word out.
I've never been very good at marketing myself, but I'm learning. I have certainly enjoyed the time it allows me to be with friends and family. It's also nice to go through a year without worrying about ratings. [grin] Will I ever go back? Never say never. Right now I'm wanting to give my new business venture its best shot. If you need me, you know where to find me.
